No matter what you do, think or perceive that you work is of high importance, it may not be for them but it is for you.   If you do your job well, people will notice and place more value in the work that you do and consider you for projects of importance.

How do your actions affect others around you?   Be aware of whether the work you do makes life easier or more difficult for others.   If you are looking to gain respect in your organisation – making life easier for others would be the best way to go.
